Built by an owner who runs his own heavy-haul + dump fleet on it daily

You didn't start hauling to push paperwork.

But here you are — chasing lost scale tickets, fixing trucks the driver forgot to flag, typing daily logs a week after the fact. HaulSharp kills the paperwork. Dispatch, driver app, inspections, repair logs, payroll, invoicing — all in one place, on the phone in your pocket. And Roy, your AI ops partner, answers your questions in plain English instead of making you dig through reports.

From the founder

I run my own fleet on HaulSharp every day.

I'm Matt. I own Tumalo Transport — a small heavy-haul + dump fleet in Central Oregon. I spent years working 70-hour weeks running my business on duct-taped software: a dispatch tool that didn't talk to our invoicing, an ELD that didn't talk to compliance, payroll in a spreadsheet. I missed too many of my kids' games chasing paperwork. So I built HaulSharp. My drivers use it. My dispatcher uses it. My accountant uses it. If it doesn't work for us, I fix it that week.

The real enemy

It's not the miles. It's the paperwork.

Every load ticket left behind the seat. Every pre-trip rushed through. Every daily log turned in a week late. Every truck problem the mechanic never heard about because nobody wrote it down. Paperwork is what costs you loads, breaks down trucks, and burns customer relationships — and every trucking company in America is drowning in it.

🎫

Lost load tickets

The scale ticket that fell behind the seat. The BOL the driver "swore he handed in." Without those tickets, you can't bill — and the customer doesn't pay. You eat the load.

🔧

Inspections half-done

Driver clicks through the pre-trip because he's late for pickup. Nobody flags the brake squeal. Two weeks later, you're towing the truck home — and the DOT auditor is asking why.

📅

Daily logs a week late

Drivers write hours on a clipboard. Office spends Friday afternoon typing them in. Payroll misses Monday. Drivers get mad. Same cycle every week.

🛠️

Truck problems nobody wrote down

"The radiator's been hot for a month." First time the mechanic hears it is the day the engine seizes. Nothing on a work order. Nothing on a DVIR. So nothing got fixed.

The fix

One place for every ticket, log, and repair.

HaulSharp turns the messiest part of running trucks — the paperwork — into a few taps on a phone. Drivers, mechanics, dispatch, and office all see the same thing in real time. Nothing gets lost. Nothing gets forgotten. Nothing waits a week.

📸

Snap the ticket. Get paid faster.

Driver takes a photo of the scale ticket or BOL on his phone. OCR reads the doc number, weight, and material — the data is on the load before he pulls out of the lot. The minute the load is marked delivered, the invoice is ready to send. No more chasing tickets for two weeks before you can bill.

⚠️

Inspection issue? Shop and office know in seconds.

When a driver flags a problem on the pre-trip, the mechanic and the office both get notified instantly. No more "I told the boss about that brake last week." Everyone sees the same defect at the same time — so it actually gets fixed.

🔧

Mechanic fixes it. Truck is back in service.

Mechanic fills out the repair log on his phone — what broke, what he replaced, parts and hours — taps back in service, and the truck shows up on the dispatch board again. Office knows. Driver knows. No phone tag, no walking to the shop to ask.

📂

Every truck's whole life, on one screen.

Inspections, daily logs, repairs, mileage, fuel, photos, registration — every record for every truck lives in one place. Pull up Truck 14 and see everything that's happened to it since you bought it. No file cabinet. No spreadsheet. No "I'll get back to you tomorrow."

How it works

Dispatch a load. Drive it. Get paid same week.

Dispatch, driver app, ticket OCR, truck inspections, repair logs, invoicing — every piece talks to every other piece. No bolt-ons. No "integrations" that take a weekend to set up. You sign in Monday morning, your drivers are using it that afternoon.

Dispatch board

See every load. Know where every truck is.

Drag loads through their stages on one screen. Filter by division, customer, or driver. Drivers update status from their phones — no more "is he there yet?" phone calls.

  • Every load tracked from dispatched → at pickup → loaded → in transit → delivered → invoiced → paid
  • One tap to send a load to a driver — he gets it on his phone with the full job sheet
  • In-house work tracked separately so you never bill a customer for an internal move by mistake
  • Tag loads, filter by tag, save the views you use every day

Driver app

Drivers update from the cab. Office sees it instantly.

Your driver opens the app on his phone, sees the loads for the day, taps to confirm. Status flows live to the dispatch board. Billable hours and tickets are filed before he climbs out of the truck.

  • No app store, no install — runs in any phone browser, works offline if signal is bad
  • Pre-trip and post-trip inspections built in — DOT-compliant DVIRs, signed by the driver, stored forever
  • Camera-first ticket capture — point, shoot, OCR fills the scale ticket, BOL, or POD automatically
  • Billable hours required before driver can mark "delivered" — no more chasing drivers for time logs on Friday afternoon
  • Daily log fills itself from the loads he ran — no double entry

Ticket OCR

Snap the ticket. We type it for you.

Driver snaps a photo of the scale ticket, BOL, or rate con. The phone reads the doc number, weight or quantity, and material right off the page. Driver confirms, taps save, and the data is on the invoice before he pulls out of the pit.

  • Scale tickets — Knife River, Vulcan, CalPortland, Cemex, Lafarge, local pits, custom ticket layouts
  • Bills of lading — flatbed, heavy haul, dry van, reefer — pulls shipper, consignee, commodity, pieces, weight
  • Runs right on the phone — no per-image fees, no extra account, works on bad signal
  • If OCR can't read it, driver just types the numbers manually — the photo still attaches to the load

Inspections, defects, and repair logs — all in one place.

Driver flags a brake squeal on his pre-trip. The shop and office both get a notification in seconds. Mechanic picks it up on his phone, fixes it, fills out the repair log, taps back in service. Every record stays with the truck forever.

  • DOT-compliant DVIRs — pre-trip and post-trip, signed and stored for audits
  • Defects flagged by drivers route automatically to the mechanic AND the office — nobody forgets
  • Mechanic accounts — repair logs, parts, labor hours, photos of the work done
  • One click to put a truck out of service or back in service — dispatch board updates instantly
  • Per-truck history page — every inspection, defect, repair, daily log, ticket, photo from day one
  • Compliance reminders: registration, annual inspection, insurance — never get caught flat-footed

Invoicing

Job marked delivered? Invoice is ready to send.

The minute a driver marks the load delivered, the invoice is built — with the route, the hours, the weight or quantity, and every ticket photo attached. Two clicks and the PDF is in your customer's inbox. No more typing it up Friday afternoon.

  • Per-load breakdown — route, hours, weight or quantity, charge — accounting has nothing left to ask
  • Material haul summary (tonnage, ticket count) auto-built for aggregate customers; freight summaries (pieces, BOL #) for flatbed and heavy haul
  • Scale ticket and BOL photos embedded right in the invoice — customer disputes drop about 70%
  • QuickBooks Online sync (coming Q3) — no more double entry

Meet Roy

Your AI ops partner. Always on. Knows your trucks.

Roy reads your loads, drivers, trucks, inspections, repairs, invoices, and payroll in real time. Ask him anything in plain English — he answers in seconds. No reports. No dashboards. No fancy menus. Just talk to him like you'd talk to a dispatcher with a perfect memory.

You ask
"What's the story on Truck 14?"
Roy answers
Last DVIR flagged a slow leak in the rear brake line — Mike replaced it Tuesday, truck went back in service at 10:16 AM. Annual inspection comes due May 30. Registration's good through next March. She's run 4,210 miles this month, mostly Portland–Bend.
You ask
"Who's free to run a load tomorrow?"
Roy answers
Frank, Matt, Logan, and Jimmy. Tom's hauling for Cascade Steel all day.
You ask
"How much have we billed this month? Who hasn't paid?"
Roy answers
$184,000 invoiced so far. Knife River owes you $42k — 38 days past due. Want me to pull up their invoices?

FAQ

Common questions.

How is this different from the dispatch software I'm using now?
HaulSharp was built by an active trucking company that got tired of stitching together 5–7 tools — dispatch software, ELD, compliance trackers, factoring portals, payroll, fuel cards, accounting — that don't talk to each other. We built one platform that covers dispatch, driver app, inspections, repair logs, payroll, and invoicing. Fewer logins, same daily workflow. Ticket OCR is included by default — not a paid add-on. And Roy, our AI partner, answers your operational questions in plain English so you stop hunting through reports.
Will my drivers actually use it?
Yes. The driver app runs in any phone browser (iOS Safari or Android Chrome) — no app store, no install, no permissions to manage. They bookmark it once and forget about it. Most drivers are running their loads, snapping tickets, and filing their daily logs on it the first morning. We've onboarded 60-year-old drivers who don't text.
How do drivers do their pre-trip inspections?
Right in the driver app. DOT-compliant DVIR — pre-trip and post-trip, signed by the driver. If they flag a defect, the mechanic and the office both get a notification right away. Once the mechanic fixes it and logs the repair, the truck is back in service with one tap. Every inspection, defect, and repair stays on the truck's history page forever.
How do I bring my existing data over?
We import customers, addresses, drivers, trucks, and your historical loads from spreadsheets. We give you ready-to-fill CSV templates for each — drop your data in, upload, done. Moving from another platform? We'll help you map the columns. Most carriers are running on HaulSharp within an afternoon.
Will this work for van, flatbed, reefer — or just dump trucks?
It works for any haul type. The core workflow — dispatch, status updates, inspections, invoice — applies to flatbed, heavy haul, dump, dry van, reefer, you name it. The scale ticket OCR is most valuable for material hauling (rock, sand, asphalt, dirt), but if you don't haul material, you ignore it. The BOL OCR handles flatbed and freight just fine.
Is my data secure?
Every customer's data lives in a separate logical tenant. Row-level security at the database layer means even with a software bug, one customer can never see another customer's loads. Audit logs track every change to financial data. Daily backups, encrypted at rest and in transit. Read more on our security page.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly billing, no annual commitment, cancel from settings in two clicks. You'll get a CSV export of every load, customer, invoice, inspection, and repair log on your way out — your data is yours.
Do you have an API?
Pro and Fleet tiers include a REST API for loads, customers, invoices, and documents. We support webhooks for status changes (load dispatched, delivered, invoiced, paid). Full docs are in the app once you sign in.
